Pastor Gladson Varghese, a certified and ordained bishop by the Church of God – World Missions, has been in the service of the Lord and in His ministry since 2008. He took up his role as a full time minister in the year 2011. In the last decades, he has gained vast secular and ministerial experiences, which he also believes in pouring into his diverse roles held under spiritual authority as well. He is currently residing with his family in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and serves in the capacity of Senior Pastor at Peniel Church of God (PCOG), UAE. He is also the Vice President and Deputy Managing Trustee for Peniel Ministries International.
He is blessed with a wonderful wife – Jiji Sosam Mathew and 2 beautiful kids, namely Johan G. Karottu and Geona G. Karottu.

The GCCOG region refers to the Church of God’s World Missions field that encompasses seven countries—the six Gulf Cooperation Council nations (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) along with one closed country—and is administered under Council Coordinator Dr. K. O. Mathew, Regional Superintendent Dr. Sushil Mathew, and Field Director Dr. Stephen Darnell.

Pastor Gladson is frequently invited to diverse platforms, where he ministers both as a motivational speaker and as a communicator of inspiration drawn from the Word of God. Distinguished for his prophetic and deliverance ministry, he has been used powerfully to impact lives. His remarkable capacity to exercise wisdom and stability in moments of crisis enables him to shepherd and guide his congregation with effectiveness and care. At the heart of his ministry are sermons that are profoundly Christ-centered, consistently marked by rich Christological insights and revelations.
FAMILY BACKGROUND
Born on 11th September 1988, on a Sunday as the elder son of Mr. & Mrs. Karottu. V. Varghese, and hailing from Karottu House, Keezhvaipur in Mallapally Taluk, Pathanamthitta District, Kerala State in India, his father was a person with orthodox Marthomite ethnicity, who always gave denominations predominance than any other relations. But the God who transformed Saul into a great Apostle Paul, did the same transformation in his father’s life as well. The day his father took water baptism also happened to be the day that Pastor Gladson was born. However, as God planned he was born as a lame child. It was a great shocking news that his father received as soon as he was baptized that his wife delivered a lame baby boy. But it didn’t deter them in faith and as a result of fervent and sincere prayer of his parents, God straightened their son’s legs and transformed him into a perfect healthy and normal child. They all witnessed a complete divine healing. Since then his father dedicated himself for the progress of Lord’s Divine Kingdom and started his theological studies at Mount Zion Bible College, Mulakuzha. He also decision to make his son grow up like a Samuel who dedicated his life for the service of the Lord. He trained him so.
Meanwhile Pr. Gladson grew up in the favor of the Lord and did well during his initial childhood days. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord on March 1998. God showered His favor & mercy upon him and anointed him with the Holy Spirit in the very next week during a seven day fasting prayer in Church of God, Mukootothara, Kerala. His father was pastoring there at that time; hence he was very resourceful and successful in guiding his son within the doctrinal canons in order to mold him for His kingdom and service. As the scripture says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”, his father guided him wisely throughout his academic life which led him to achieve well in gaining medals for allied mathematic papers and to successfully completed Bachelor Degree.
He got selected as a trainee in Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), while he was in his 3rd year graduation programme. He was with RBS for 3 years, and within this period he was promoted as a senior officer in the bank too. He finished his studies in Master of Business Administration from Loyola College, Chennai. In September 2011, he was offered to join HDFC bank, Ernakulam as an Assistant Manager, but God guided him in a different direction and asked him to leave his job with a promise that He will make me stand as a witness and testimony for His service around the world. He obediently submitted himself to the Lord and stepped down from his career in RBS leaving all individual records behind in his professional life by the end of year 2011
But God had other plans for him. Barely six years into his career, the Lord pulled him back for Himself and put him on a different trajectory. Being a natural academic, he immersed himself in theological studies, one after the other, growing in His commitment to serve the Lord and advance His Kingdom. He earned four theological post graduations including M.Div and M.Th.
From the very outset of his spiritual submission and obedience, Pastor Gladson was divinely molded into a minister of the Gospel, carrying the good news with zeal wherever God planted him. His early missionary endeavors included pioneering numerous churches across the northern regions of India, extending even to tribal territories where his ministry was marked by remarkable impact. Among the Beeli tribal community, he heralded a significant revival that resulted in the establishment of many congregations. This missional trajectory later brought him into pastoral leadership with the Peniel Church of God, Ullayam. In 2016, the Lord expanded his horizons by relocating him to the United Arab Emirates, where he has since been engaged in dynamic ministerial service across all seven emirates.
As his ministry developed, Pastor Gladson began to minister on international platforms, preaching in conferences such as the Malayalee Pentecostal Association of the UK, Church of God Kerala State, Church of God Kerala Region, Church of God Australia, Bless Australia, among others. He has also distinguished himself as an indispensable youth camp preacher across diverse denominational settings, including the Church of God, IPC, Assemblies of God, SFC, and several independent fellowships.
His passion for ministry, unwavering service, and pastoral care extend to his church, his community, and all entrusted to his leadership. With a Christ-centered vision, he seeks to emulate the perfect example of the Lord Jesus Christ, tirelessly advancing the kingdom of God with the Great Commission as his guiding mandate. His life and ministry continue to be a blessing to many, marked by total dedication to the service of Christ and His church.
